Overview
All Lupo DayLED lights have an exquisitely designed fresnel lens, a small, circular, neat LED, and come with flood & spot control. They are built to withstand the rigours of professional broadcast use and as one University client put it “These lamps are student proof”. The lamp housing is made from carbon fibre reinforced polymer and is built to last a lifetime. The LEDs are very efficient and robust. They have an expected life span of well over 50,000 hrs, making these lights a great investment.
All models are available in either 3200k or 5600k colour temperature variants. The Lupo 650 and 1000 models are also available in dual colour (variable colour control from 3200k to 5600k). All DayLED lights deliver exceptional industry leading colour rendering index values, are fully dimmable from zero to 100% and are pre-configured for DMX use.
The lights run with very low power consumption and are extremely well suited to run on battery power. This makes them ideal for news crews, photographers and production teams shooting on location.

Reviews
“This light is amazing, and epitomises how far LED technology has come in recent years. Old fresnel projection lenses combined with modern low wattage, high quality LED bulbs, has made this an awesome product.”
Giles (Lupo DayLED 650)
“Overall, these Lupo LED luminaires perform extremely well and their scores run right up to 98. That’s the best score I’ve seen from any LED source. I’m impressed.”

Spectral Analysis
The colour rendering index (CRI) or (TLCI) of an LED light source is it’s most important characteristic as it determines how naturally reproduced the colours of the objects it illuminated are rendered.
LED lighting fixtures by Lupo have a CRI value higher than 94 and some as high as 97. This means that they emit higher quality light, that can easily be mixed with sunlight or incandescent light sources.
Lupo fixtures use special LEDs developed exclusively for Lupo with True Colours technology that offer a far better colour rendition than has previously been possible. True Colours LEDs used in Lupo lights use a particular mixture phosphors made up not only of yellow phosphors but also of red and green ones that allow the light to reach very high CRI values. Normal LEDs use only yellow phosphors in combination with blue emission chips that generate low CRI values and generally unpleasant green casts.
Colour Temperature
As well as the regular fixed colour temperature variants (5600k and 3200k) of Lupo DayLED fresnels, the Lupo 1000 and Lupo 650 are also available in Dual Colour or variable colour temperature.
Dual Colour allows you to set the colour temperature of the light from 3200k to 5600k and every colour inbetween. This is adjusted by the rotary control on the dimmer unit box to one side of the light housing. The display on the dimmer unit will show you the exact Kelvin value while you are dimming the Light. The light output stays at a constant level throughout the colour temperature range and the CRI stays at over 95 too.
Optional Extras
Power Leads
Standard Lead – Each Lupo comes from the factory with a fixed mains lead 3 metres long fitted with a standard domestic three pole mains plug of your choice.
Extended Lead – For a small extra charge you can opt for a separate 10m mains lead with an inline connector placed at 150mm from the lamp housing. The inline connectors are the excellent PowerCON TRUE1 by Neutrik. Other power connectors including industry standard blue top 16A are available upon request.
Plug Type – Lupo lights also come with a choice of plug types. Choose between USA 3 pin (plug type B), European 2 pin plus earth (plug type F), or UK 3 pin (plug type G). Refer to this chart for identification.

Lupo LED lights are 90-240v, 50hz or 60hz auto sensing units and will work in most countries.
Yoke
Standard yoke – All Lupo lights come with a standard “U-shaped” yoke which hangs below your Lupo light allowing it to be rigged onto lighting stands. The yoke allows you to pan and tilt the light.
Pole operated yoke – The pole operated yoke allows you to suspend your Lupo light from overhead fixtures and is specifically designed for television studios or theatre lighting rigs. The pole operated yoke will arrive in a separate box to be fitted by the user. The yokes are easily swapped using an allen key.
Battery Kits
V Mount Li-ion Battery Kit – Due to their very low power consumption the Lupo DayLED lights can run purely on battery power as well as mains power. The lights can be powered directly via the 4-pin XLR input socket on the back of the units.
For the Lupo DayLED 650 and 1000 models a V-Mount adapter plate attaches to the lamp yoke with its integral clamp and thumb screw. It can be attached or removed in a few seconds as required.
